Why is the media so hard on Sarah Palin over her comments when Biden doesn’t even know basic US History?

Let's be for real here, yes, insulting someone because they're dumb is not a nice thing but the "real" issue here is that she's on the Presdiential ticket and NOBODY, Republican and Democrat alike, wants a person who is THAT dumb to be THAT close to the Oval Office...PERIOD!
