Does Christianity have ties to the Illuminati?

Ive been doing some research and I begin to look in encyclopedias and latin root words of the word Baptize. As I looked it said 'Illuminated'' and that the water was initiation. Since Illuminati literally means 'enlightened ones' in Latin. "Illuminati, Greek illumination, name given to those who submitted to Christian baptism. Those who were baptized were called "illuminati" or "illuminated ones" by the Ante-Nicene clergy, on the umption that those who were instructed for baptism in the Apostolic faith had an enlightened understanding. So could the Illuminati be ociated with Christianity. Could the leaders of Christianity be hiding something. Are they sweeping things under the rug and not coming out of the closet with what they are really into.
