Small claims court question?

I paid $557 with my debit card for a hotel. my so called friend was supposed to give me half of that, in which he would be paying for half the hotel bill and gives me back my money for eating and entertainment. In 6 weeks time he keeps saying he is bringing it over but never does. The night before we are to go he gives me a story about paying me when we get back, I would have a room and no money so now I cant go. Would I be entitled for the full amount or only half?Also, if I have to miss work to go to court, would I be entitled to lost wages?
