My yahoo emails have stopped deleting, and the trash box won't empty?

my mate fixed my computer , in the meantime I got a load of e mails whilst it was out of action. When I now try to delete them they disappear , only to reappear next time I log in . Also most of the e mails won't even load , they just say 'loading' and never do . I try to empty my trash box but it never happens . I've started drinking heavily and my marriage is on the rocks . Not all bad news then . Any ideas cos I'm thick when it comes to computers.
